So far there are 3 lawyers on Drew Peterson's defense team that are thieves.
Joel A Brodsky - Forged a dead clients signature so he could steal the dead mans money..
Lisa "Chlebos" M Lopez - Acted like Nordstrom's in Oakbrook was her personal ATM.
Ralph E Meczyk - Filed fraudulent tax returns for his law firm and his personal taxes.
We're guessing that Ralph E Meczyk didn't excel in school when it came to basic arithmetic. Crunching numbers and doing simple math must not have been on the books ( Pun intended) for Ralph E Meczyk.
He and Lebert Bastianoni (a former law partner) were arrested for filing false and fraudulent partnership and individual tax returns that clearly understated their income. Both Ralph E Meczyk and Lebert Bastianoni pled guilty to understating their law firm`s income and their personal
income. Both were sentenced to 30 days work-release from the federal Metropolitan Correctional Center, fined $500 each and put on probation for 4 years plus they were ordered to do 500 hours each
of community service.
Ralph E Meczyk loves to represent dirty cops so it comes as no surprise that he would help represent Drew Peterson, another dirty cop. He represented Anthony Doyle, a dirty cop from Chicago that was indicted for his part in the family secrets racketeering sting. While he was a Chicago cop, Doyle made regular visits to a
Michigan state prison where he fed police information to convicted hit man Frank Calabrese Sr. Anthony Doyle also moonlighted as a
mob enforcer - a mob "street tax" collector. Anthony Doyle surrounded
himself with cold-blooded killers but he was never legally held responsible for any mob murders. Anthony Doyle was convicted of racketeering conspiracy and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Ralph E Meczyk represented Joseph Miedzianowski - another dirty cop that served on the Chicago police force for 22 years. Joseph Miedzianowski was referred to as " The Most Corrupt Cop In Chicago History".
This guy abused his badge to the fullest "illegal" extent of the law!! Here are some of Joseph Miedzianowski's accomplishments as a dirty Chicago gang unit cop:
1- He funneled guns and ammo to certain street gangs to help aid them in the attacks of rival gang members.
2- He used Rico Passley (A Member Of The Imperial Gangsters) to sell his crack cocaine on the streets
3- Was involved in a Miami to Chicago drug ring.
4- He used Frederick Rock (A Member Of Maniac Latin Disciples) to sell over 12 pounds of cocaine that he confiscated from various drug dealers.
5- He disclosed the identity of undercover cops to drug
dealers, describing undercover police vehicles and revealing the names
of confidential informants working with law enforcement in order to
protect his drug ring.
6- He and 13 others described as gang members and drug dealers distributed
more than 220 pounds of powder and crack cocaine from 1995 through 1998
in Chicago.
7- Had his mistress/girlfriend Alina Lis cooking cocaine to make it into crack..Lis eventually earned the title name of "frequent flyer" due to the high amounts of cocaine that she transported aboard airplanes.
We could go on and on about this scumbag ex cop but we're sure you get the hint. A total of 24 (cops & gang members) were convicted and 6 of Joseph Miedzianowski's co-defendants agreed to testify against him. Ralph E Meczyk said they all lied and only agreed to testify against Joseph Miedzianowski to shorten their sentences because if they didn't then the only way out of prison for them would have been in a pine box. According to court documents, Ralph E Meczyk had previously represented some of the defendants (that's a shocker) in state criminal cases that Joseph Miedzianowski was accused of interfering with and Meczyk was going to be called as a witness by the federal prosecutors so he voluntarily withdrew from the case. Joseph Miedzianowski was sentenced to life in a federal prison with no chance of parole.
You can't convince us that Ralph E Meczyk didn't know these 2 cops were dirty. Look at what they were involved in and accused of. He took both cases because that's what he likes to defend. DIRTY PIECE OF SHIT COPS! Ralph E Meczyk gets arrested, has a felony conviction and was still allowed to practice law and the ones he still chooses to defend are people like this? People Like Drew Peterson? That speaks volumes to anyone with common sense. Amazing how Brodsky, Chlebos-Lopez and Meczyk were convicted of crimes and they still get to practice law.
